Welcome!

Welcome to duckandfriends.com! I’m so excited you’re here! This website is the home of all my books: charmingly silly early readers, fun and adventuresome chapter books, beginning piano music for Christmas, class piano for adults and a high school/college level music theory textbook.  It’s also the home of my blog where I post about children reading, book reviews, an occasional author interview and anything else I feel like writing about. 

Take a look around and browse. If you look hard enough, you’ll even find the recipe for the purple elephant’s favorite cocoa cookies!

About Me

Donna McFarland received  B.Mus. in Piano Performance from Wheaton College and an M.Mus. in Piano Pedagogy from the University of Oregon. Along with teaching piano lessons to children and adults, she teaches music classes at Northwest Christian College. Donna published several original piano compositions and arrangements with The Lorenz Company. Donna’s love for children’s literature began before she was old enough to read, and as a child she dreamed of writing books for kids. She lives in Oregon with her husband and son.
